Playground Games is looking for a Systems Engineer to join our Fable team here in Leamington Spa.

About us: As a first-party Xbox Game Studio, we are passionate about making genre-defining games that are accessible, beautiful, and, most of all, fun. We are excited to be rebooting the much-loved Fable franchise and are expanding our diverse team to create a new classic in the action RPG genre.

About the role: As a Systems Engineer you will be working directly on our custom, proprietary engine. You will be working with the systems engineering team to develop our engine and data pipelines. You will be dealing with large amounts of data, and processing them to be efficient for runtime.

Our ideal candidate is an engineer with experience of different engine technologies and data pipelines, who is passionate about ensuring a great experience for players when playing the game, and content creators while making the game. Understanding how to process data effectively and efficiently is key to this role.

This role is based at our state-of-the-art facilities in Royal Leamington Spa. We have a hybrid work model in place with a minimum of 3 days a week in studio. Relocation assistance is available if required.

What you'll do:

Work on our custom, proprietary engine and the data pipelines which transform the raw asset data into a game ready format. Develop systems and pipelines, and get involved in foundational architectural decisions and implementation. Collaborate with our design teams to help develop creative solutions to achieve their goals.

What you'll bring: Engineering experience preferably within engine and data pipelines. C++ and software architecture skills. Passion for systems engineering, and a desire to keep learning and staying on the cutting edge. A genuine passion for video games.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make world-class games with an established, talented, and collaborative team at one of the industry's most exciting first-party game studios.

Playground Games is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, we believe that diversity and inclusion fuels creativity. We are dedicated to creating a safe, comfortable and welcoming working environment. We strive to build an inclusive culture that encourages, supports and celebrates the diverse voices of our team members. It drives our innovation and connects us closer to our players. We are committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion across age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex and sexual orientation.

At Playground Games we recognise the importance of self-development, career progression, well-being and retention of our colleagues. We celebrate difference and welcome everyone to join us and to be themselves at work.

If you require any reasonable accommodation to apply for this position, please contact us on recruitment@playground-games.com #J-18808-Ljbffr
