Senior Systems Engineer

Location: Stoke on Trent area, Staffordshire, UK Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 + benefits This is a new opening for a Senior Systems Engineer to lead a small team of software and systems engineers on the design and development of new technologies and systems for off-highway vehicles. The ability to mentor, technically lead people and projects is required, along with an understanding of electronics, electrical systems, and/or model-based software (embedded C, Matlab / Simulink). Required Qualifications:

7+ years of post-academic full lifecycle experience of developing systems or software for control/mechatronic systems. Experience working in the automotive, marine, rail, avionics, or similar safety-critical domain. Ability to technically lead and mentor junior engineers. Ability to capture and develop requirements into technical product specifications. An understanding of model-based software. Electronics/electrical systems engineering experience. Desirable Qualifications:

Experience of working on safety-critical systems. Network systems/protocols – e.g. CAN, Ethernet, CANalyzer, CANoe or CANape. Problem solving and analysis (FMEA, FTA, 8D). The ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This role involves working within a team of experienced engineers on the development of new and future technology developments, including engine/gearbox control, HMI/steering/controls, HVAC, object detection/Radar/ADAS features, etc. Our client is offering a competitive salary and a supportive and collaborative team environment that will help you develop your skills and progress your career.
