This role is a great launching point to advanced roles in both tax and finance, and can serve as an essential building block in the path to future leadership positions. General Purpose: Coordinate with Tax Director to maintain compliance with tax authorities and governmental entities. Responsible for preparation and review of Federal, State and International filings, including Income Tax, Sale and Use Tax, Property Tax, VAT, and any other tax or compliance related filings under the direction of the Tax Director. Manage indirect filing process, including implementing improvements to department processes to standardize procedures and increase tax efficiencies. Help Tax and Data teams create standard reporting and procedures with a goal of increased automation Assist Tax Director in preparation and analysis required for income tax reporting, tax return and provision preparation, and tax authority inquiries. Respond to federal, state and international audit requests. Perform tax research, analysis and special projects. Establish relationships with key internal and external groups, including finance, accounting, Treasury, FP&A, and operational personnel. Have a proficient working understanding of Sub-chapter K-Partnership taxation. Evaluate the tax aspects of partnership agreements of Internal Revenue Code (IRC) 704b accounts. Direct and monitor the state tax compliance and composite filing activities Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences: 3-5 years of experience in tax compliance and/or tax accounting. Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; strong Excel skills preferred. Experience in Dynamics 365, Sage FAS or other fixed asset software, and/or tax return software, a plus. Knowledge of federal income tax accounting, tax compliance and/or tax research. Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, accurately and timely.
