What you’ll be doing We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join our dynamic tax team and oversee critical aspects of our tax compliance, planning, and reporting functions. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the organization's tax operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and optimizing tax positions. This role will report to the Finance Director and involve collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to safeguard the organization’s tax interests while aligning with business objectives. Key Responsibilities: 1. Tax Compliance & Reporting: Manage the preparation and submission of accurate and timely corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with all applicable local, national, and international regulations.

Oversee the preparation of tax provisions and disclosures for financial statements in accordance with [IFRS/GAAP/other standards].

Manage audits and correspondence with tax authorities, addressing inquiries, disputes, and resolving any issues.

Ensure compliance with indirect taxes (e.g., VAT, GST) and payroll tax obligations.

2. Tax Planning & Strategy: Provide analysis of legislative changes and recommend strategies to address potential impacts.

Support cross-border tax planning, transfer pricing policies, and international tax structuring initiatives.

Collaborate with the finance and legal teams on mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions to identify and address tax implications.

3. Team Management and Development: Supervise and mentor junior tax professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning.

Coordinate the work of internal tax teams and external advisors to ensure deliverables meet quality and deadline expectations.

Act as a technical expert, providing guidance on complex tax issues to the tax team and broader organization.

4. Risk Management and Advisory: Identify and mitigate tax risks, implementing robust tax governance processes and controls.

Stay up-to-date with global tax developments, ensuring proactive risk management and compliance adjustments.

5. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within Tax systems, to streamline and automate existing Tax reporting processes.

Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement system enhancements.

Continuously evaluate new tools and technologies to enhance Tax reporting capabilities.

Analyse and make recommendations for optimization.

Implement best practices for Tax data management and reporting automation.

6. Data Management: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of Tax data across all systems.

Develop and maintain documentation for processes and procedures.

Botanica Ditton Park, Riding Court Road, Datchet, SL3 9LL The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and background: Education : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field.

Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or equivalent.

Tax-related professional qualification (e.g., CTA) is an advantage.

Experience : Significant experience in tax management, including a combination of in-house corporate tax roles and public accounting

Strong knowledge and experience in EMEA tax regulations, international tax, transfer pricing, and VAT.

Experience in managing tax matters across multiple EMEA jurisdictions.

Proven track record in tax planning, compliance, and managing audits and tax disputes.

Skills : Strong technical knowledge of direct and indirect taxes, as well as transfer pricing.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex tax issues into practical business solutions.

Strong people management skills, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Fluency in English (additional European languages a plus).
