is currently inviting applications for the post of

Senior Team Physiotherapist.

The post holder will support the Lead Physiotherapist in the delivery of Physiotherapy services to the Ulster Senior Rugby team. We seek an experienced Physiotherapist committed to a culture of growth, with the energy and hunger to progress themselves and our team. Working collaboratively with Ulster’s Athletic Performance Staff, we require someone with advanced rehabilitation skills to expedite the return to performance for our injured players. They must be educated to degree level in Physiotherapy and registered with the Health Professions Council. Additionally, they should have training in Pitch Side Emergency Care to ICIS level 3 or be willing to complete this training at the next available opportunity. Aligned to the centralised IRFU system, physiotherapy staff access online monthly practice sharing sessions between the four provinces and national teams. Through its online educational platform, staff have access to interactive and recorded monthly lecture series with international experts. Staff can engage in a mentoring programme organised by the IRFU Head of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Phil Glasgow, developing leadership skills to mentor individuals within the system while also receiving mentoring as desired. The individual will work with the Irish international team physiotherapist and IRFU Rehab Specialist in the routine performance and injury management of Ulster’s International players, with opportunities to experience the Senior National Team environment. The successful candidate must, by the closing date for receipt of applications, be eligible to live and work in the United Kingdom. Applications from candidates who are not eligible to live and work in the United Kingdom by the closing date for applications will not be considered. The post is offered on a two-year full-time fixed-term contract from the date of commencement until 30th June 2027. To apply, please download a detailed job description and person specification and complete the online application form. The closing date for completed application forms is no later than

10:00am on Friday 24th January 2025. Applicants are strongly advised to read the guidance notes at the start of the application form prior to completion. CVs or emails expressing an interest in the position without completing the online application form will be disregarded.
