Senior Tech Lead
to drive the success of a high-performing backend engineering team. This role blends elements of hands-on technical leadership with strategic squad management and bigger picture works.
What You'll Be Doing: Managing and leading a squad of talented backend engineers, fostering a culture of high performance. Overseeing squad planning, technical direction, and delivery - ensuring smooth execution of projects. Driving continuous improvement through agile methodologies, code reviews, and best practices. Designing, building, and optimising microservices architectures for scalable systems. Hiring, onboarding, and developing engineering talent to support company growth. Collaborating with product managers, DevOps, and cross-functional teams to align tech with business goals. What We're Looking For: Strong backend engineering background - Java, with expertise in Spring Framework and Hibernate. Hands-on experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures. Proven expertise in cloud computing (AWS preferred), DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL a plus). Experience leading and mentoring technical teams in an agile environment, as well as experience developing roadmaps.
