In this exciting position, you will be at the forefront of delivering multiple projects across the business, each involving a unique blend of Electronics, Software, and Mechanical challenges to deliver safety-critical products that save lives. From design through to manufacturing and sustaining, you will ensure that every project is executed with precision and excellence. As a Project Manager, you will seamlessly integrate Agile and traditional project management methodologies to drive success. You will be the key player in ensuring the delivery of crucial projects by adhering to the FFE Delivery Framework and NPI process. Your responsibilities will include formulating the project vision, setting goals and priorities, and owning the budget and overarching timeline. Collaboration is at the heart of this role. You will work closely with leaders across the business to introduce and refine progressive working practices, fostering an environment of innovation and continuous improvement. FFE operate a hybrid working policy; this role will require candidates to work in either our Hitchin or Dry Drayton office as required by the needs of the project. Candidates must reside in the UK or be willing to relocate and must also be eligible to work in the UK to be considered for this role. Duties & Responsibilities Own and manage multiple large projects within FFE and ensure that FFE delivers high-quality products, according to well-defined plans and budgets. Make project decisions that align with the FFE strategy. Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to keep the project on track. Support the Head of Delivery in championing the use of FFE’s Delivery Framework and NPI process across the business, and ensure they are continuously improved. Support the development and rollout of related Frameworks/Processes across the business. Use your expertise (e.g. technical/engineering knowledge) to support project delivery. Maintain a transparent, trusting, and safe environment for project team members to speak openly and honestly. Skills & Experience Extensive experience of project management techniques such as Waterfall, Gantt, Agile, SCRUM, Kanban. Confident using modern collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and MSTeams. Experience of prioritisation, managing budgets, resource planning, running planning sessions, retrospectives, etc. Ideally, experience of working in a highly regulated environment, e.g. Fire, safety, automotive, medical, aviation, etc. Experience in delivering physical electronic/mechanical projects in a manufacturing environment. Background in STEM. Effective written and verbal communication with all levels and audiences within an organization. Experience in producing and presenting project reports, project plans, budgets & forecasts. Experienced problem solver ideally with Green/Black belt training using a variety of problem-solving techniques. Can demonstrate the ability to manage conflict effectively, and with a track record of leading larger teams. Behaviours Lead by example. Collaborative, empowering, optimistic, and motivational.
