We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Data/AI Trainer to join our professional and dynamic team at Skills City, playing a key role in delivering impactful training across programs such as Early Careers Skills bootcamps, The Power of Mums in Data, PlayAI, and other commercial programmes. As a Senior Trainer, you will lead a structured, multi-modal training program that blends various learning methodologies to develop and refine learners' skills in key areas. You will focus on data analytics, statistics, SQL, data visualization, data protection and AI related technologies. Your role will involve delivering a well-defined curriculum and engaging learners through instructor-led training, hands-on labs, scenario-based project sprints, and more, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and practical skills to excel in today’s digital landscape. Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive training sessions that combine instructor-led training, practical labs, scenario-based sprints, and collaborative projects. Identify areas and develop training resources or materials to enhance the learning experience. Ensure learners engagement per program requirements and offer support in client-facing projects. Guide and mentor learners towards achieving technical expertise and career opportunities. Conduct technical mock interviews with the interns. Support the Skills City team in timetabling and monitoring student learning progress. Administer LMS tasks such as scheduling sessions, managing attendance and uploading session recordings, registering participants and creating/editing instructor resources. Evaluate and provide feedback to all learners’ activities and submissions promptly. Work closely with the learning strategy team to preserve a consistent program experience for all learners through a defined curriculum, milestones, and interactions. Provide content and class feedback to the learning strategy team led by Quality Assurance Manager to drive improvements. Be passionate about developing talent across all backgrounds to drive up economic and social mobility. Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related field. Industry recognised Certifications in Data, AI and Cloud. 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, or analytics roles. 3+ years teaching experience in a similar role. Experience with training tools and platforms for both in-person and online delivery. Curriculum design and content creation. Coding experience (Python, SQL, Advanced Excel functions). Microsoft proficient. Project management experience. Excellent stand–up delivery and facilitation skills and strong “stage presence” that drives key learning outcomes and motivates application of knowledge beyond the classroom. Ideally, but not essentially, a Microsoft Certified Trainer or an AWS Authorised Instructor. Personal Characteristics : Self-driven. Friendly but assertive. Excellent communication skills. Time management. Teamwork. Inquisitive.
