Key Responsibilities: Provide therapeutic support to children and young people with emotional and mental health needs. Use evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Work collaboratively with schools, families, and other professionals to create tailored care plans. Offer individual and group therapy sessions to address a range of emotional and psychological difficulties. Contribute to the development of resources to promote mental health awareness and early intervention strategies. Ideal Candidate:

Qualifications
Nationally recognised core qualification and registration Professional Qualification at degree level or equivalent Completion of further post qualification specialist training at post graduate level or equivalent experience, i.e. DBT, CBT Experience
Experience of specialist mental health assessment and treatment of children and adolescents and their families/carers where appropriate as a full member of a multi-disciplinary team located in community, primary care, outpatients, or inpatient settings. Experience of working with a wide variety of children, adolescents and their families/carers across the whole range and presenting problems that reflect the full range of clinical severity. Post qualifying experience of working as a specialist mental health worker within a mental health setting. Experience of writing and delivering complex and robust risk assessment and risk management plans and leading on their delivery. Experience of teaching and or training other professionals. Experience of working in residential settings. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
