As a Senior Therapy Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting our therapy services, working alongside qualified therapists to deliver high-quality care to patients in both acute and community settings. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in rehabilitation practice while directly contributing to the recovery and well-being of patients. You'll manage your own delegated caseload, assist in therapy interventions, and contribute to the smooth running of the service. Whether you're implementing treatments under the guidance of HCPC-registered therapists or assisting with home visits and the provision of adaptive equipment, you'll be an essential member of our multidisciplinary team. Support patients with therapy interventions, including mobility and rehabilitation activities, as directed by senior therapists. Develop therapeutic relationships with patients and provide compassionate, patient-centred care. Assist with the assessment, provision, and fitting of adaptive equipment in community settings. Manage your own delegated workload and ensure accurate recording of patient records, both manually and electronically. Liaise with other healthcare professionals, external agencies, and carers to ensure effective patient care. Participate in stock maintenance and the operation of the on-site equipment Satellite Store. Contribute to service improvement initiatives and audits as directed. Adhere to Trust policies and procedures, including safeguarding, infection control, and data protection.
