STRI Group is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated SENIOR TOWN PLANNER to join our team, based at our headquarters in Bingley, West Yorkshire. As the company expands, it is looking to bring in the right person to help deliver development projects, working as part of a development team delivering high-quality facilities on behalf of our clients. The successful candidate would be working as part of the development team alongside other specialist development consultants. As a senior town planner at STRI you would be expected to plan and oversee the creation, regeneration and development of land such as recreational areas, sports facilities, as well as residential, commercial sites and development related to urban environments. You will need to combine creative skills with knowledge of human activity and the natural environment. You will be responsible for: Undertaking and leading site visits. Providing planning and development advice. Discussing project requirements with clients. Writing reports (including parts of environmental statements and planning statements). Consulting with and managing sub-consultants. Presenting proposals to clients for approval and agreeing timescales. Undertaking public and key stakeholder consultation. You will need: A relevant degree accredited by the Royal Town Planning Institute. Chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute. 3 to 5 years post qualification experience. Have an interest in sports and the environment. Have excellent verbal and written communication. Have experience of managing a workload of applications. Full clean UK driving licence. Experience of working in the sports sector (ideal, but not essential). Experience of the appeals system (ideal, but not essential). What we offer: Proud to be an Employee-Owned Trust business.
