to assist with the appointment of a

Senior Traffic and Parking Engineer , on a

2-month contract , highly likely to be extended at client's discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration. Rate of Pay:

£36.50 - £40.50 per Hour Responsibilities: To prepare designs, drawings, technical/committee reports, public consultation material, contract documents, tenders, bid documents, presentations and briefings as required and where appropriate attend meetings with other services, departments and outside bodies. To support colleagues across the wider team in providing professional engineering advice and comments to Elected Members, members of the public, developers and other agencies relating to the Council's Highway Authority functions. Utilising creative and innovative design abilities to ensure safe, satisfactory and sympathetic solutions and outcomes. To ensure that robust project management procedures are utilised for all projects assigned to the post holder to ensure effective delivery within budget and deadline. To support and assist management to develop new initiatives for the team, including working in partnership with internal and external providers, agencies, developers, etc. Qualifications: A qualification in Traffic Engineering or similar subjects (such as Civil or Highway Engineering). Evidence of successfully designing and delivering Local Safety Schemes, Parking or Traffic Engineering Schemes. Knowledge of current UK traffic and transportation practices.
