Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Traffic Engineer to join their team on a contract basis in Suffolk. As a key member of the traffic engineering team, you will play a crucial role in shaping and maintaining the traffic network, as well as supporting active travel initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Working on all stages of design, including, feasibility, preliminary, and detailed design. Active travel design experience. Experience of maintenance of carriageways/footway schemes. Collaborating with other teams and stakeholders to deliver traffic engineering projects. Conducting site visits and assessments as required.
Job Requirements:
Significant experience in traffic and highway engineering. Expertise in carriageway design and maintenance. Proficiency in all design stages, including preliminary, feasibility, and detailed design. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage budgets and deliver within deadlines. Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Flexible to work 2 days a week from the Ipswich office.
