Senior Trainer and Work Based Learning Coach (CIPFA Education and Training Centre) Join our dynamic team at the CIPFA Education and Training Centre, where we are dedicated to enhancing public financial management. We are seeking a fully qualified accountant (ideally CPFA) with public sector work experience and some training experience, to teach our mid to late stage modules in the CIPFA Professional Accountancy Qualification. Trainers are required to deliver training (both online and in the classroom), offer support to students via tutorials and on a 1:1 basis where required, and complete assessment and marking activities. The job holder will also take on Module Leader responsibilities to oversee the ongoing development of teaching approaches and learning materials for the module. In addition, you will act as a work-based learning coach, supporting apprentices on a 1:1 basis to achieve their learning plans and, ultimately, their apprenticeship.

Key Responsibilities Teaching: To include the delivery of course sessions, supporting students in their learning outside of class time such as on the VLE platform and reviewing the outcome of the delivery of courses and taking action to rectify any identified weaknesses accordingly. Assessment and Academic administration will also be a part of this role. Work Based Learning Coach: Provide coaching and support to apprentices on CIPFA's accountancy apprenticeships, aiding their professional development and understanding of the public finance sector. Skills and Experience Required Proven experience in a training or coaching role, preferably within the public finance or education sector. Professional accountancy qualification Practical experience of accountancy, audit and/or financial management in public services Excellent communication skills both in training facilitation and in one-on-one learner support. Highly IT literate, proficient in use of MS office, VLE's and video conference platforms Willingness to travel in the UK and work flexible hours where required Benefits of Working with Us Participate in our 4-day working week pilot until January 2025, maintaining a full-time salary while working 30 hours per week.
