Senior Transformation Finance Business Partner
Job Introduction
The Transformation Senior FBP will be working directly with the Director of Transformation and People and Culture Change Lead, providing end-to-end financial oversight and analytical support on a five-year transformation covering multiple work streams including Target Operating Model, Digital transformation, new Tech platform implementation, and Process Improvement. This is a high exposure position with the opportunity to interact directly with the executive leadership team on a daily basis, shaping the future of MPS.
We are looking for someone who can independently lead and advise on all financial aspects, including strategic planning, prioritization, business case development, forecasting, and cost and benefit tracking. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of effective key stakeholder engagement, an ability to understand the strategic picture, while demonstrating attention to detail and promoting/embedding financial control into business processes.
Main Responsibilities
Develop financials for the five-year transformation plan including cost, benefits, and ROI/payback.
Partner with the Transformation Office to develop financial governance and processes on project spend tracking, prioritization, change requests, forecasting, and annual budgeting.
Provide inputs into business case development, including standardized rates, capitalization assessment, and consistency in cost and benefit definition and return metrics calculation.
Review and challenge business case assumptions working directly with business case sponsors.
Project spend tracking and governance - partner with program vendor management to ensure accuracy of external spend and with PMO on time recording of internal resources (with annual rate validation).
Provide monthly Exec update on financial performance of the transformation program vs Plan, including actual and forecast with understanding of reasons for deviation and actions.
Partner with FP&A, P&C, and Financial Controller to implement changes to planning/forecasting, reporting processes, and systems, including Plan overlay, financial reporting hierarchy change, and cost allocation methodology as a result of TOM.
Set up benefit tracking mechanisms and governance processes.
Support Executive review/dashboard/reporting related to Transformation program and TOM progress/performance.
Manage TMO non-program cost financials.
The Ideal Candidate
Significant FBP experience focusing on Technology/Digital Transformation, large-scale Target Operating Model, and process improvement.
Gravitas to interact directly with Executives across different divisions – ability to influence and challenge constructively.
Experience working with PMO and TMO to deliver transformation program financial impact, including business case development, governance, and benefit sizing and tracking.
Experience working with People and Culture or other organization design partners to implement new TOM.
Ability to navigate through ambiguity and change environment and initiate/set up new processes where necessary.
FP&A experience – understanding of FP&A systems and planning processes.
