We are working with a highly successful and ambitious family-run haulage business near Otley, Leeds who are looking for an experienced General Haulage Senior Transport Planner to join their team. With ambitious plans to grow, they are looking for a General Haulage Senior Transport Planner who thrives under the challenges and constant changes of a planning role but is also commercially minded and looking to grow into a leadership role within a general haulage business. Role Overview: As a General Haulage Senior Transport Planner, you will work at a senior level, taking ownership of all planning activities for a fleet of articulated vehicles and drivers. You will be comfortable in planning under pressure to ensure maximum revenue while adhering to legal constraints and maintaining high standards of customer service. You will also support and work with the Directors to shape the future growth of the business. Minimum Requirements: Minimum 3 years' experience in transport planning. 2+ years' experience in general haulage. Comprehensive knowledge of drivers’ hours regulations and running costs. Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise tasks. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. CPC qualification or working towards it. Proficient computer skills. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm. Saturday mornings on a rota basis (to be discussed further during interview).
