What your day to day might look like: Develop ultrasonic signal processing algorithms for various tomographic applications Explore Ultrasonic propagation through multi-phase/multi-material media Theoretical modelling as well as numerical and conduction of physical experiments Develop (COMSOL) simulations Optimise sensor design and material compatibility – testing sensors using phantoms Lead the development of Ultrasonic Tomography Participating as a lead ultrasonic/tomography expert (SM) Firmware level architecture definitions to sensor design and signal processing optimisation Proposing improvements in tools, processes and techniques Contributing to customer facing meetings Reviewing technical proposals and providing accurate estimates Defining and architecting the ultrasonic (chirp) excitation protocols and response functions as a guide for the FPGA pulse control as well as signal processing What our client is looking for from you: 3+ years of commercial experience gained in product development R&D A PhD or MSc or an equivalent in Engineering, Physics, Medical, and/or Mathematics Experimental ultrasound laboratory and Practical Signal processing skills Proficiency in MATLAB and preferably in object-oriented Python /C++ to accelerate algorithm implementation in PYNQ type FPGA overlays Designing, developing, implementing and debugging signal processing software Experience with Electrical Engineering fundamentals Postgraduate level research experience in advanced (ultrasonic) signal processing Ability to use SCRUM project management principles and technique Experience in developing and implementing complex imaging or tomographic algorithms Knowledge and experience of signal processing techniques and algorithms, particularly those relevant to imaging or tomographic applications Knowledge of embedded software/Firmware development Knowledge of scientific programming language skills such as Matlab, python, C/C++ Strong coding background and previous industrial or research project experience in inverse problems, tomographic techniques, flow imaging and/or complex signal processing If you have not received a response within 3-5 working days, unfortunately your application has been unsuccessful.
