The overall responsibility of the role is to provide support to the Team Leader and be a referral point to less experienced staff.
Key Accountabilities
Take ownership of tasks delegated from the Team Leader such as UAT testing, product setup in Fusion, and updating procedure documents.
Manage the Team in the absence of the Team Leader.
Assist in training, mentoring, and being a referral point to less experienced team members.
Be a referral point for broker support for queries on applications in the absence of the Team Leader.
Maintain broker relationships that are integral to the growth of WOSL.
Promote our Team Ethic.
Ensure all underwriting is in line with Company policy and within regulation.
Underwrite large loan applications (up to £250k) and maintain a pipeline of cases.
Liaise with introducers, valuers, and solicitors ensuring excellent relationships are maintained.
Ensure that all cases are Underwritten within the Group’s Risk appetite.
Skills & Competencies
Ability to work as part of a team.
Pass internal competency tests post-induction.
High attention to detail.
Knowledge & Qualifications
A strong understanding of FCA regulation.
CeMAP (desirable, not essential).
Minimum of 5 GCSEs A-C (Including Maths and English).
