Senior Urban Drainage Modeller Leeds Salary up to £60k

Our client is a leading design, engineering, environment and regulatory consultancy who are planning and designing sustainable communities and cities of the future. Due to securing further workload, their Leeds Head office is looking for a Senior Urban Drainage Modeller to join their Flooding and Water Management Team.

Your role will be to lead the delivery of a wide variety of projects for several key clients both in the UK and Europe. The work will cover a range of activities including project feasibility through to detailed design and construction support, including integrated catchment studies, flood protection studies, surface water management, infrastructure projects, sustainable drainage, asset management, and development impact assessments. Your role will play a significant part in the development of others in the team.

They are looking for individuals who can challenge conventional thinking and work collaboratively to meet a wide range of business, environment, and regulatory challenges for these clients. The role offers an opportunity for successful candidates to broaden and diversify their hydraulic modelling expertise. To be successful in this role, you will have a strong interest in the water environment and an understanding of the issues associated with sustainability and climate change adaptation.

Working within agreed deliverables, key milestones, project methodology, quality assurance, and control strategy, you will lead project delivery tasks which may include engagement with clients' technical teams, calculations, drawings, sketches, and reports, as well as site investigations. You will provide technical guidance, support, and training to colleagues, leading in the development of urban drainage within the Water Environment Department and working in close collaboration with and supporting colleagues from other disciplines as required.

Recommending and implementing improvements to technical policy, processes, and design solutions where applicable, and sharing via the knowledge management channels as appropriate, the role requires you to help in managing and developing the clients' portfolio, taking an active role in growing the development sector for the Water Environment Department.

Chartered with a professional body such as CIWEM or ICE and a degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a similar subject with significant hydrology or hydraulics content, you will have experience of GIS (e.g., ArcGIS or MapInfo) and InfoWorks ICM (hydraulic modelling software is essential) and experience of managing projects and acting as technical discipline lead on multi-disciplinary projects.

Calibre Search promotes equality in the workplace and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified candidates regardless of their sex, race, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation, or age.
