As a Senior UX Designer, you’ll lead the design thinking in your projects, including new ways of working, new user research techniques, and new products within the Fintech innovation space. Your work will bring high-quality designs to meet the needs of our clients and the business. You’ll be operating in a fast-paced environment, working end-to-end to understand user needs and deliver cutting-edge design. Throughout your work, you’ll collaborate with others to develop and meet the standards through peer reviews and knowledge sharing. You’ll also manage and lead workshops and craft reports, as well as contribute to playback sessions with multiple stakeholders. You’ll work with a cross-functional squad while collaborating with engineers, product owners, and researchers. You’ll be responsible for all design artifacts, from initial discovery and user journey mapping through to executing pixel-perfect UI designs. Key aspects of your role will also include: Working closely with engineers and experts from across the business to deliver both incremental experience improvements and brand-new digital features. Developing a deep understanding of the complex financial needs of our high-net-worth clients, helping with user research and building empathy with our clients, ensuring that their needs are always at the heart of your design decisions. Weaving a compelling narrative around your work, bringing to life your process through storytelling. Actively engaging in team meetings, workshops, hackathons, and critiques. Collaborating regularly using strong communication, documentation, and facilitation skills. Working flexibly to deliver inclusive, accessible, and engaging digital experiences which reflect the award-winning service that underpins everything we do at Coutts. The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with experience in delivering customer-focused designs, ideally including native mobile design. You’ll need to work well in a fast-paced and data-driven environment. Experience with Agile methodology and knowledge of the FinTech industry is essential. You’ll demonstrate an appreciation of design as a collaborative discipline, with a desire to thoughtfully critique work and provide regular feedback to your team. We expect you to bring a portfolio showcasing beautiful and impactful work. We’ll also be looking for: An expert understanding of UX theory and methods. Knowledge of design patterns and standards across Android, iOS, and Web. A practical understanding of visual design principles including hierarchy, layout, spacing, typography, and color. Experience leading design projects and influencing stakeholders to drive the right experience outcomes. A solid understanding of using and contributing to a design system. Expert-level knowledge of Figma and other design tools such as UserZoom, ProtoPie, and Lottie.
