This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to take the next step in their career and step into a leadership role within a dynamic and growing team. Hours:

30-40 hours per week, no out-of-hours, and 1:5 weekends

About the Role: As a Senior Veterinary Surgeon, you will lead a talented team of veterinary professionals, including new graduates. You’ll be responsible for managing a varied caseload while providing high-quality care and clinical support to your team. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring, delivering training, and fostering continuous professional development across the practice.

The position offers the opportunity to work in a modern, well-equipped practice with state-of-the-art facilities and ongoing support from a highly experienced regional team. This is an ideal role for a veterinary professional looking to take on more responsibility and grow into leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary veterinary team, ensuring high clinical standards. Mentor and coach new graduates and veterinary nurses, enhancing their skills and building their confidence. Design and deliver training sessions on current veterinary practices, technologies, and procedures. Oversee the veterinary team’s performance and implement tailored development plans. Provide hands-on support and guidance for complex cases. Collaborate with the management team to ensure staff receive the support and training they need for continuous growth. What You’ll Need:

Proven experience in veterinary practice, with or without previous leadership experience. A Degree in Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) and full registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others. Confidence in delivering high-quality veterinary care while managing a team. A passion for mentoring and developing the next generation of veterinary professionals. What’s on Offer:
