We have an opportunity for a
Senior Veterinary Surgeon
to join Broom Cottage veterinary surgery in Wilmslow, Cheshire. The role will involve working FT over a 4-day/4.5-day week plus a 1:4 Saturday, 1:12 Sunday, and bank holiday rota. Sunday and bank holiday shifts will be worked at one of our sister branches, Beech House in Warrington. (Beech House will be going through Hospital status in 2025). We also have access to a RCVS Tier 3 accredited Hospital and our own referral practice – Oakwood Veterinary Referrals in Hartford, Cheshire. We are looking for an experienced small animal vet who is exploring their first step into a management role. Ideally, you will be confident in both surgery and consults and be comfortable working some sole charge. If you are a Vet GDP advisor, this would also be of benefit for the practice. You will be responsible for driving and developing the practice both from a customer and sales perspective, plus managing the experienced team at Broom Cottage. This may involve: Delivering excellent levels of customer service standards Implementing policies & procedures in line with the RCVS & VDS guidelines Line management of a team of Vets, nurses, and receptionists including day-to-day support, probationary/annual reviews, wellbeing, return to work interviews, sickness/absence management Developing Broom Cottage in terms of its offering to current & new clients for the future.
