It’s free for you and your family. *Available only to perm employees ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a Senior Visualisation Engineer to play a pivotal role in delivering Royal Mail's (RM) data strategy, collaborating closely with our Data Engineering, Data Platform and Data Science teams. This role will ensure the highest standards in the delivery of interactive and self-service data experiences, leveraging AI, automation and real-time analytics. As part of RM’s transformation into a data-driven company, you will implement innovative solutions that have a significant impact on our business and our customers. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead and collaborate with peers, stakeholders and external partners to design and deliver compelling, user-centric data visualisation products and self-service data experiences for thousands of users and our external customers. Oversee estimation, prioritisation, resource allocation, risk management, design, technical implementation, testing, progress reporting and smooth transition into BAU. Operationalise products and proof of concepts into scaled, enterprise-wide solutions, leveraging RM's data platform whilst upholding security, privacy, regulatory and availability standards. Cultivate a data-driven culture to enhance RM’s data fluency and demonstrate clear alignment to RM’s strategy. Identify and fulfil opportunities to optimise the data platform and product estate, driving continuous improvement and reducing technical debt. Trial and adopt emerging capabilities and best practices to ensure RM is at the forefront of data analytics. Role model proactive professional development to grow capabilities in data visualisation, data science, data engineering, cloud platforms and project delivery methodologies. Mentor, coach and line manage team members to foster high performing teams.
