Key Purposes of the Role
Management of Weighbridge Operators across three sites and South Kirkby Weighbridge Supervisor Provision of accurate data to deadlines Departmental performance compliant with the PFI Contract with Wakefield Council and EA requirements Ensure compliance with the environmental permit Eliminate the performance framework penalties Key Accountabilities
Ensure that full service delivery complies with contractual commitments including service delivery plans, contract targets, client data and information and change protocols Develop a working relationship with the client which ensures that contract delivery is recognised, as well as nurturing a commercial relationship that is flexible, based on trust/respect and able to move forward even when agreement and alignment prove challenging Full responsibility for producing waste reports to deadlines Ensuring accuracy of data collated from off takers and that recorded within TIM (Weighbridge Data recording application) Ensuring all sites return and complete necessary paperwork compliant with Company process and procedure, and contractual specification deadlines Monitoring performance against the contractual performance framework Site audits to ensure duty of care requirements are being met Full responsibility to ensure weighbridges run smoothly, accurately and within the appropriate contractual and legal requirements Management of Weighbridge Operators across three sites and South Kirkby Weighbridge Supervisor Interaction with the Finance department to ensure data is reconciled and the generation of invoices in a timely manner Management of month end processes Provision of monthly and annual waste data flow submission in line with contractual deadlines Updating relevant annual plans Liaising with Central commercial functions and provision of information Producing reports for Senior Managers Data analysis Filling EA returns Hands-on weighbridge operation as and when required to ensure weighbridges are fully staffed during holidays and absence Facilitate an auditable action log and dashboard for the performance database Adhoc tasks/projects as and when required Experience, Education & Qualifications
Exceptional attention to detail Demands high standards of themselves and others and is able to translate into high quality, high pace output Ability to build and maintain strong, cohesive teams with high morale and outstanding output Good organisation skills and the ability to forward plan and have a proactive management approach Excellent Microsoft Excel skills Excellent numeracy and literacy skills, meticulous attention to detail Strong proven people management A valid UK driving licence Desirable
