Our new retirement village opening in Chester is on the lookout for a Senior Wellbeing Consultant. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing the lives of our residents. As the first hire into the wellbeing team, you will set precedence and lead on all things wellbeing within the village. 37.5 hours a week, 5 out of 7 days. Key Responsibilities: Leading the emergency response service team, responding to emergency calls within the Village and delivering first aid where needed. Promoting the health and wellbeing of older people living within the Village and helping maintain independence and safety for residents. Carrying out wellbeing assessments for residents and enhancing the current wellbeing service. Auditing service delivery, reporting on the outcomes and impact of the service. Managing the team rota and shift patterns so provision is provided 24/7. Supporting monitoring of the emergency call system, reporting issues and faults to the village manager. Carrying out the wellbeing baseline and annual assessments for residents as per the RVG policy. Signposting to healthcare professionals e.g., GP / primary care services. Providing information and awareness sessions about key health issues such as osteoporosis, falls prevention, heart disease, etc. Setting up wellbeing focus groups to meet up on a monthly basis where appropriate. Ensuring all aspects of Health and Safety in your location adhere to RVG’s Health and Safety policies and requirements. Requirements: Emergency first aid qualified and able to get to the floor unaided and unassisted; confident in administering CPR until further help arrives. Significant experience in managing older people. Experience or knowledge of primary care and referral to primary care. Experience of managing a team and organizing staffing rotas. Ability to analyze risk and respond appropriately, seeking support as necessary. Full understanding of supporting a resident in an emergency situation and supporting until emergency services arrive.
