Future Build Recruitment are looking for a
Senior Works Manager / General Foreman
to join a large civil engineering contractor on a 9-10 month freelance contract, with a chance of possible extension. Tasks for this role will include; Demolition of an existing concrete bridge. Construction of a new replacement concrete bridge. Structural steel work (non-temporary). Civil works including reinforced concrete, piling, earthworks, service diversions, and highway construction. This is a significant civils project, and the required candidate will need experience of working in a similar role, particularly with concrete and groundworks gained at major contractors. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage all site operations related to the bridge demolition and construction. Coordinate with teams to ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery of project milestones. Supervise subcontractors and manage day-to-day activities. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Prepare and review reports, maintain documentation, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Qualifications and Requirements: SSSTS/SMSTS Certification CSCS/CPCS Card Holder Temporary Works Supervisor Certification First Aid (3-day course) Proficiency in computer applications Valid driving license Desirable Qualifications: 360 Excavator with Lifting Operations certification Telehandler certification HS(G)47 / CAT and Genny training Fire Marshal training If you are interested in applying for this
