Senior/Managing Estimator About the Role: Are you an experienced estimator looking for a leadership role with real impact? We're working with a well-established and growing company in the construction sector that's on the hunt for a Managing Estimator to take the reins of their estimating team in the Install department. What You'll Be Doing: This is more than just crunching numbers - as the Managing Estimator, you'll be at the heart of the company's work-winning strategy. You'll lead a talented team of estimators, coordinate tendering activities, and work closely with clients to ensure the company delivers competitive and accurate quotes. Here's what your day-to-day will look like: The Estimating Function: Managing the team's workload, allocating resources, and ensuring every tender gets the attention it deserves. Working closely with an Estimator who needs support and mentoring but is very capable. Coaching and mentoring your estimators, helping them grow their skills and confidence. Building Client Relationships: Acting as the main point of contact during the tender process, keeping clients informed and expectations managed. Staying Hands-On: Reviewing tender documents, assessing risks and opportunities, and ensuring all estimates meet the company's high standards. Updating and maintaining the CRM system, so the whole team stays on the same page. What We're Looking For: * Experience working as an Estimator within the Construction industry * A track record of managing teams and mentoring others. * Confidence in client-facing roles and the ability to build relationships that last. * A strategic mindset, with an eye for risks, opportunities, and ways to improve.
