Job Title: Senior/Principal Civil Engineer Company Overview: Are you looking for a new role? Join an internationally recognised leader in nuclear engineering who is seeking a Senior/Principal Civil Engineer to join their innovative team. Renowned for their extensive industry experience, this organization specialises in delivering engineering and project management solutions that enhance the efficiency of complex infrastructure projects. Your Mission: As a Civil Engineer, you will join a multi-disciplinary engineering team within a Client's Approving Authority, supporting operations and future programs at client sites. You will collaborate with Mechanical, Civil, Building Services, and Electrical Engineers to author, develop, assess, and maintain Engineering Design Substantiation for Nuclear Facilities. Your objective is to ensure that Design Intent, Critical Safety Functions, and Safety and Operational Requirements are met according to best practices and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Author and manage design substantiation documents. Oversee design changes and concessions. Present safety cases to committees. Develop EIMT schedules and conduct safety reviews. Provide technical advice and conduct independent reviews. Apply engineering knowledge in high-risk environments. Qualification & Experience: 5+ years of experience in design assessment for reinforced concrete and steelwork structures. Essential Experience with reinforced concrete and steelwork marine structures and jetties.- Essential Proven ability to produce technical justifications for civil/structural design modifications in high-hazard industries. - Essential Strong foundation in both general and specialist engineering knowledge, utilizing existing and emerging technologies. .- Essential Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering OR Chartered Engineer. - Essential Incorporated Engineer (or equivalent experience). - Essential Experience in a Clyde or similar nuclear environment.= Desirable Familiarity with safety case development techniques, such as HAZID/HAZOP studies.- Desirable Additional Information How to apply: If you meet the requirements and are interested in joining our Client’s dynamic team, please submit your application including your CV to shas@scantec.co.uk or phone on 0151 666 8929.
