SEO Account Manager

as part of our team in

Manchester. Purpose of the Role The primary objective of this role is to lead the development and implementation of SEO strategy on assigned client accounts, utilising the support of your managed SEO Executives on day-to-day deliverables and guidance from the SEO Account Director. Whilst overseeing the SEO roadmap(s), you will be responsible for leading and co-ordinating client communication and management, aiming to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders. Effective team leadership will also play a pivotal role in this position, ensuring the team is managed to the highest standard and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Key Responsibilities Lead the development of SEO strategy for client(s), with the support of SEO Account Directors. Take ownership of implementing the SEO strategy, ensuring the highest possible standard. Act as the main point of contact for clients, while regularly communicating campaign progress, results, and recommendations in a clear and professional manner. Create client presentations in a timely and consistent manner, while maintaining a very high degree of accuracy. Manage your team and ensure that project plans, roadmaps, and strategies are delivered on time and to the highest standard. Support and develop the talent of the SEO team. Ensure that SEO performance and growth is at the heart of all activity and able to showcase clear ROI for clients due to the investment in the SEO strategy. Enable collaboration between all performance channels which could include Content, Digital PR, Technical, CRO & UX, and Paid. Professional Skills Able to lead a team, work as an individual or as part of a team to deliver creative solutions. Very good knowledge of SEO strategy, from a development and implementation perspective. Aptitude to build and maintain strong working relationships. Ability to work well under pressure or to time-critical deadlines. Able to communicate and present SEO best practices to all stakeholder levels. Highly skilled in analytics and problem-solving, with a keen eye for attention to detail. Quality output achieved through others by effective leadership, delegation, teaching, and coaching. Demonstrate real commercial understanding through sound judgment. An internal and external profile that creates influence through gravitas and respect. Positive client ROI and effective team management. 3+ years’ experience in an SEO role. Experienced in driving SEO impact for a client or whilst working in-house. Driven, ambitious, and eager to contribute to the wider SEO community. Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills. What we offer This is a permanent role.
