SEO Manager - Build an SEO Capability for a Leading Digital Agency Location: Remote First, Offices in Stockport (Hybrid Working) Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience)

Are you an SEO expert looking for a career-defining opportunity? Do you thrive in a creative, fast-paced agency environment where you can lead, innovate, and grow? We're partnering with an incredible digital agency in the North West to find an SEO Manager who will be pivotal in building out their SEO offering.

About the Role

As the SEO Manager, you'll be instrumental in creating and scaling the agency's SEO function. This role is the perfect blend of strategic thinking and hands-on delivery. You'll work across internal projects to boost the agency's online visibility, as well as partnering with a range of clients to deliver exceptional SEO campaigns that drive measurable results.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a comprehensive SEO strategy for the agency and its clients. Conduct technical audits, keyword research, and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for organic growth. Collaborate closely with design, content, and development teams to optimise website structures and on-page content. Build and nurture relationships with clients, presenting insights and delivering tailored strategies to achieve their objectives. Stay up-to-date with SEO trends, algorithm updates, and emerging tools to maintain a cutting-edge capability. Analyse performance metrics, create reports, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders. Mentor and support the team as the SEO offering grows, with the potential to build and lead a dedicated SEO team.

About You

We're looking for an experienced SEO professional who's ready to take ownership and make their mark in a growing agency. You'll bring both technical expertise and creative flair, with a passion for delivering exceptional results.

Essential Skills & Experience:

A proven track record in SEO, ideally in an agency or consultancy setting. Deep knowledge of SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog) and Google Analytics. Strong technical SEO expertise, including site audits, page speed optimisation, and schema markup. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders. A results-driven mindset, with experience creating and delivering successful SEO campaigns. Strategic thinking combined with hands-on capability - you're just as comfortable rolling up your sleeves as you are planning at a high level.

Desirable:

Experience with PPC, content strategy, or digital PR would be a bonus. An understanding of UX principles and how they intersect with SEO.

Why Join?

This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a new capability within an established agency. You'll have the chance to shape the future of SEO for the agency and its clients, working on diverse and exciting projects alongside a talented and collaborative team. With a strong commitment to creative excellence, innovation, and growth, this agency offers the perfect environment for ambitious professionals ready to make an impact.

Benefits Include:

Competitive salary and benefits package (37 days!) Hybrid working model for flexibility. A vibrant, supportive team culture that values creativity and professional growth. Opportunities for progression as you build out the SEO function.
