We are looking for an experienced SEO Specialist to join our team and bring SEO efforts in-house, managing both www.search.co.uk and www.hendersonscott.co.uk. This role will involve working across a variety of SEO tasks to improve organic search visibility, increase traffic, and drive relevant conversions.


Job Overview:

As the SEO Specialist at Search Recruitment Group, you will be responsible for managing and implementing SEO strategies for both of our websites. This role requires someone with strong technical SEO knowledge, experience in on-page optimisation, and the ability to drive backlink building efforts. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our sites rank well in search engines, attract qualified candidates and clients, and generate leads.


In this role, you will:

  • Take ownership of SEO initiatives and proactively identify new growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the wider content team to guide SEO-driven content strategies.
  • Focus on local SEO for multiple office locations and ensure that all recruitment-specific pages and job listings are optimised to generate organic traffic.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical SEO audits and address site performance issues.
  • Conduct comprehensive keyword research and on-page optimisation.
  • Lead backlink building strategies to improve domain authority.
  • Drive local SEO efforts, ensuring high visibility for local searches across all office locations.
  • Track SEO performance using Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and Looker Studio dashboards.
  • Implement conversion rate optimisation strategies to improve candidate applications and client inquiries.
  • Collaborate closely with the content team, developers, and recruiters to ensure alignment on SEO-driven initiatives.


Key Requirements:

  • 4-5 years of SEO experience, preferably in a competitive industry such as recruitment.
  • Strong knowledge of technical SEO, JobPosting schema, and local SEO.
  • Proven success with backlink building strategies.
  • Familiarity with Google Jobs optimisation.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with experience using GA4 and Looker Studio for reporting.
  • Experience with conversion rate optimisation for improving user engagement and lead generation.
  • Ability to take ownership of SEO strategies and initiatives.
