Job Title: Buyer - Manufacturing Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent About the client: My client is a leading manufacturing company based in Suffolk. They pride themselves on commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction. To support our ongoing growth, we're looking for an experienced and dedicated Buyer to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities: Purchasing & Procurement:

Source, negotiate, and purchase high-quality components and materials in line with production requirements. BoM (Bill of Materials) Management:

Collaborate closely with the engineering and production teams to understand Bill of Materials requirements, ensuring all materials are in place to meet production timelines. Order Management:

Issue Purchase Orders (POs), monitor order status, and expedite orders as needed to maintain a smooth production flow. Supplier Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring the best pricing, quality, and lead times. Cost Management:

Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery to achieve cost savings without compromising quality. Inventory Coordination:

Work with inventory and warehousing teams to monitor stock levels, avoiding shortages or excess inventory. Cross-functional Collaboration:

Actively collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to support project goals and resolve issues promptly. Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience in a purchasing or buying role, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment. Solid understanding of BoM requirements and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to develop and maintain supplier relationships. High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and organizational skills. Why my client?
