Hours of work: 7.45am - 4.45pm Monday - Thursday, 7.45am - 1.45pm Friday (30 mins unpaid lunch break)
Early starts and late finishes and stayovers (hotel and meals all paid for). Overtime as and when required.

About the Service and Installation Engineer Role
Engineers are an integral part of Autopack's business. As a Service Engineer for Autopack Ltd, your role will involve a varied workload of multiple types of packaging machinery. You will be driving to sites anywhere in the UK in a company vehicle, up to a maximum size of a 3500kg van. Appropriate clothing and tools are supplied. You will develop a relationship with the customer to provide a professional experience on behalf of Autopack Ltd. A laptop and phone will be provided, which is integrated into Autopack Ltd's Teams system.

This job role includes some overnight stays, reporting to the Engineering Manager.
Qualifications for the Service and Installation Engineer
BTEC Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
HNC/HND in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
Responsibilities
Taking the lead on installations
Single machine or full production lines
Attending FAT and SAT with customers (at Supplier's Factory or Hereford site)
Reporting through FAT validation sheet to HQ
Commissioning machines and problem-solving to achieve required outcomes for the customer
On-site HQ and Customer site support via Facetime/Video Call
Ongoing customer service (after commissioning) either via phone/teams or in person
Mentoring Autopack Engineers
Full reporting after customer visit (breakdown, installation)
Liaising with Supplier's Engineer (in person or over phone/teams)
Supporting the Company's ISO 9001 Quality System
Delivering training to customer's Engineers & Operatives after installation
Servicing and providing ongoing support for installed machinery/lines
Liaising and ordering from Engineering suppliers
Exhibition duties as necessary
Any other duties that management deems necessary
