Our Client an established estate agency is seeking a
Service Charge Accountant
to join their team. Salary: up to £40,000 pa depending on experience Location: Gravesend (some remote working after 6-12 months) Benefits: 22 days per annum rising to one per year to 25 days pa Health care, Medicash, EAP, long service awards Pension + lots more Hours: Monday – Friday 9-5:30pm Previous experience in the preparation of statutory and service charge accounts is essential. Knowledge of ARMA and RICS regulations. High level of concentration, accuracy and attention to detail. Self-motivated with a methodical and organised approach. To prepare statutory and service charge accounts for residential & commercial properties To upload service charge budgets based on agreed apportionments and totals To liaise with external auditors as part of the audit process from start to finish To raise service charge invoices to tenants based on uploaded budgets Dealing with telephone calls and any queries; General filing and correspondence (as required); Providing cover for team members (as required); Other duties (as required). Good knowledge of ARMA and RICS regulations Experience of client accounting software (TRAMPS) is desirable Experience of client accounting software (APB) would be an advantage High level of concentration, accuracy and attention to detail Self-motivated with a methodical and organised approach Able to effectively prioritise and multi-task Excellent people and communication skills at all levels Dependable and flexible as well as possessing the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality Proactive and able to take responsibility for own work and assist others Work well under pressure Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages Good interpersonal and customer service skills
