Job Purpose:
Vincents is looking for a Service Controller who can demonstrate a stable history working within a franchised dealership for this role in Wellington, Somerset. The Service Controller role is the key contact and relationship manager between the workshop and customers to enable the day-to-day smooth running of the service department workflow. Naturally you must be able to work as part of a team and have the capacity to manage existing professional relationships.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
To oversee the day-to-day running of the Wellington workshop
To organise engineers on a day-to-day basis using workshop scheduler
Ensuring a smooth flow from initial service enquiries, opening and actioning job cards to invoicing job cards
Scheduling internal work
To deal with initial customer disputes
Communicating with customers to remind them of upcoming services
To ensure accurate submissions of warranty and goodwill claims daily and monitor warranty reports
Receiving customers machines to yard, tag and return when finished
Obtaining customer order numbers for work to enable invoicing
Ensuring service campaigns are completed on time
Requesting parts for required work
Overseeing Wellington engineers’ vehicle servicing and MOT
Managing PDI’s through meetings with sales team
Supporting logistic planning
Being a key holder
Plus, any other duties as requested by the Group Service Manager

To represent Vincent Tractors & Plant and promote its brand throughout all activities
Ability to work hours as required by the business

Person Specification:
Experience of working in a workshop environment
Ability to speak with all manner of customers
Experience of building relationships with people
Have strong administration and IT skills, be highly organised
Education/ Training:
Minimum four GCSE or equivalent, Maths and English grade C or above

Ability to pick up technical knowledge and apply it
