We’re looking for a detail-oriented Service Delivery Engineer for our Bedford Depot. You’ll be at the heart of maintaining and improving fleet performance for the CL360 Desiro Classic . Your role will be critical in ensuring reliability and safety standards while working collaboratively with key stakeholders within Siemens and for the customer. You’ll make an impact by: Reviewing daily service-affecting failures, supporting fault rectification, and coordinating maintenance plans. Prioritising daily workloads and attending customer meetings to address service incidents. Working with Technical and Performance Engineers to analyse data, plan proactive maintenance, and implement modifications. Working closely with the Fleet Delivery Manager and Head Of Production to drive success on contract deliverables. Reviewing materials usage, completing paperwork, and collaborating on claims to improve material efficiency. Participating in continuous improvement initiatives, developing cross-functional processes, and implementing PDCA methodologies. Implementing safe systems, monitoring HSQE compliance, and engaging with behavioural safety programs. Your success will be grounded by: Management or supervisory experience in a technical position, with proven leadership and technical expertise in rolling stock maintenance procedures. An Engineering ONC qualification (or equivalent experience) combined with strong IT proficiency and excellent communication skills. Strong organisational skills to plan and prioritise workloads effectively while collaborating with diverse stakeholders. A commitment to development by fostering a high-performance culture, driving team growth, and promoting learning initiatives. Familiarity with continuous improvement techniques and a proactive approach to streamlining processes. A safety-first mindset through understanding HSQE policies, implementing safe systems, and fostering an environment of safe practices. Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment legislation and contract or commercial awareness (preferred).
