We are looking for a candidate with relevant user research experience within agile teams and complex programs. You should demonstrate an application of user research methods and tools, along with proven experience in conducting user research and translating findings into actionable insights. Familiarity with GDS/NHS service standards and assessments is essential, and experience in the healthcare sector is a bonus. You should possess strong stakeholder management and communication skills, as well as facilitation skills for both remote and in-person workshops. The ability to manage complex, ambiguous projects and organizational dynamics is crucial. Experience in coaching, mentoring, or managing UCD/research teams will be highly valued, as will skills in related disciplines such as service design and content/communication design.
In this role, I will lead user research planning and execution, designing, planning, and conducting user research activities to gather insights into user behaviors, needs, and motivations. I will employ a variety of research methods, including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and observational studies, to synthesize findings into actionable insights that can be effectively communicated to stakeholders. I will advocate for the inclusion of insights into the design and development of services, manage stakeholder relationships at all levels for alignment and buy-in, and educate stakeholders on user-centered design and agile approaches. Additionally, I will identify and pursue new business opportunities, shape persuasive business proposals, and contribute to the evolution of Mastek’s User-Centered Design strategy while mentoring junior team members and leading community development activities.
