Service Desk Administrator Location: Ipswich Salary: £28,000 (six-month probation) Job Type: Permanent, Full-time We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Service Desk Administrator to join a dynamic and growing team within a well-established company.

Role Overview

This role involves providing comprehensive administrative support to a busy service delivery team. You will handle tasks such as booking engineers and subcontractors for client jobs, raising purchase orders, preparing quotations, and coordinating materials and equipment for ongoing and new projects. The role also includes regular interaction with field-based engineers to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

Schedule appointments for engineers and subcontractors. Raise purchase orders and procure materials and equipment. Prepare and send customer quotations. Handle telephone and email inquiries professionally. Create and update documents using Word and Excel. Maintain and utilize several web-based portals. Provide support to field-based engineers. Perform additional daily administrative tasks as required.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented professional with excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Requirements

Previous experience in an administrative role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and online systems. Strong telephone manner and communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and perform under pressure.
