Service Engineer | Automated Production, Assembly & Process Machinery | £40,000 - £50,000 (DOE) + Uplift + Company Benefits | Worcestershire/Gloucestershire Are You Ready for an Engineering Adventure? Let’s be honest. This isn’t your average engineering role. You won’t just be working on the same production line or fixing the same machines day in, day out. Instead, you’ll be assembling, testing, and fine-tuning complex machinery before heading off to some of the world’s most interesting places to install it, make it sing, and train the people who’ll rely on it. If you’re a hands-on engineer with a knack for solving problems and a taste for international travel, this might just be the job for you. What You'll Be Doing

Setting up, supporting the development and build process, and testing specialist machinery before it’s shipped across the globe. Travelling to customer sites (a lot – so pack your passport) to commission equipment and train operators; applicants must either be British citizens or hold permanent UK settled status. Troubleshooting issues on-site and writing clear reports with practical solutions. Working closely with sales, production, and design teams to keep everything running smoothly. Always looking for ways to make things better, whether it’s processes, productivity, or quality. What We’re Looking For

Technical qualification (HNC, HND) or an engineering apprenticeship. Mechanical bias with experience of mechanical assembly, fault diagnosis, and using tools like micrometres and vernier calipers. Ability to read and interpret mechanical and pneumatic drawings. Understanding of the basics of electrical circuits and PLC controls, fault finding and diagnostics (no programming required). Prior experience working on automated machinery, production/assembly/process line machinery, high-speed automated systems, packing machinery, pneumatic systems or similar complex automated machinery. Clear communication skills, both in person and in writing. Flexibility, adventurous spirit, and comfort spending significant time overseas, often on tight schedules. Why You’ll Love It Here

This is a role for someone who wants to see their work make a tangible difference. You’ll be the bridge between cutting-edge engineering and the real-world environments where these machines come to life. You’ll also join a team that values continuous improvement, collaboration, and building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues alike. Ready to take your engineering career to new places? We’re looking for someone who loves variety, challenges, and the chance to travel while doing what you love. If that sounds like you, you’ll feel right at home. Click “Apply”. Your CV will be forwarded to Cognize Technical Recruitment, a specialist Automation & Technical Recruitment Agency. Please note that if you are NOT a passport holder of the country for the vacancy, you might need a work permit. Bank or payment details should not be provided when applying for a job.
