Reporting into the Service Team Manager, following a comprehensive training programme, you will be responsible for carrying out installations, repairs, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance of servos, compressed air systems, PLCs, inverters, and pneumatic devices. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to train on new machinery and stay with a business long term.

Main Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair a variety of equipment at customer sites across Scotland. Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults, including issues related to servos, compressed air systems, PLCs, inverters, and pneumatic devices. Drive tuning and calibration of machinery to ensure optimal performance. Provide technical assistance and support to customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Conduct regular preventive maintenance checks and services to maintain the optimal functioning of equipment. Work closely with our engineering team to report issues and suggest improvements. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policy and safety standards. Ensure documents are completed in full and within the quality standards we uphold.

Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a Service Engineer. Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including servos, compressed air systems, PLCs, inverters, and pneumatic devices. Proficiency in drive tuning and calibration of machinery. Understanding of fenestration manufacturing processes and machinery. Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail. Ability to work independently and travel frequently across Scotland & some Ireland. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to customers. Full UK driving licence.
