A service engineer is required for a hugely established OEM of special purpose automated machinery.
This globally recognised leader of specialist capital equipment is seeking an electrically biased Service Engineer to join their team. You'll be required to travel nationwide to install, commission, and repair machinery. They have a strong network of service engineers across the UK, allowing the business to provide the very best service to all of their customers.

Responsibilities for the Service Engineer include:
Nationwide travel to carry out installation & commissioning of special purpose machinery
Carry out breakdown maintenance repairs both electrically and mechanically
Routine service and inspection visits
Fault find on Allen Bradley PLC's to work out faults and carry out corrective works
Providing end user support to customers as well as training and equipment demonstrations
Nationwide travel including overnight stays during installation projects
There is a robust training package, largely based around job shadowing other engineers to learn the products and how they're built, with some overseas training in Europe during the probation period.
To be successful in this position, we're looking for the following previous experience and skills:
Previously a field service Engineer of capital equipment or heavy industry machinery
Hold a HNC or HNC in electrical or electronic engineering
Have a solid understanding of PLC's and how to fault find
A strong knowledge of power supplies, controls, and electrical test equipment is essential
Flexibility to travel nationwide, with occasional overnight stays and rotational weekend work during the year
Clean driver's license
