An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced field service engineer to join our forward-thinking forklift company to help our team achieve our ambitious growth plans. Working on customer sites and at our workshop, your role will be interesting and varied. Along with the ongoing requirement for servicing and preventative maintenance work, you will be expected to be able to carry out diagnosis and subsequent repair work to both clients and the company's own equipment as well as carrying out Thorough Examination Inspections.
Duties:
Servicing, preventative maintenance and repair of both company owned and customer forklift trucks ensuring unscheduled repairs are minimised. Provide clear information regarding equipment, service, repair or inspection status and advise actions that may be required to maintain the equipment. Liaison with the parts department to ensure appropriate repairs are carried out to the required time frames. Completion of documentation to company standards. Work within Health & Safety requirements at all times. Computer literate.
Requirements:
In-depth mechanical and electrical experience including strong diagnosis and repair skills. Experience in a similar role is essential. Experience of hydraulics and electrical equipment. Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise in a clear and concise way with all levels of customers. A flexible and helpful attitude to work. Ability to work as part of a team or under your own initiative. A full driving licence. A tool kit.
