Job Description : To undertake the maintenance, service, repair, commission, and refurbishments of pump stations and sewage treatment plants in and around the North East Area.
Responsibilities:
Undertake the maintenance, service, repair, commission, and refurbishment of sewage treatment, pumping stations, and associated equipment, including electrical components. Carry out both planned maintenance visits and attend call-outs where necessary in a timely manner. Examine and report any defects, reporting any abnormalities. Supply details, measurements, and full descriptions of any components that require replacement. Work well independently and within a team. Manage your own workload to meet company and customer demands. Communicate regularly with customers and colleagues face-to-face and over the phone. Knowledge of sewage treatment plants and pumping stations is desirable but not essential. Electrical qualifications are desirable but not essential. Hold a valid Full UK Driving Licence as a Company vehicle will be supplied. Knowledge of using a smartphone is desirable as a Company mobile smartphone will be provided. Standard hours of work are 47.5 per week plus overtime. A flexible working attitude is necessary to meet client and business needs. Occasional overnight stays may be required. Participate in a call-out rota with other engineers in the Service Team – approximately 1 in 7 weekends. CSCS is desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided to the successful candidate. The first 6 months of employment are probationary. In-house training will be given for the successful candidate.
