Service / Support Engineer with experience in servicing, repair, and technical support for Test Engineering of instrumentation (Automated Test beneficial) required for a growing manufacturing business. Experience in electro-mechanical and electronic engineering with software integration is essential. The role will be site and field-based (20% of your time), although you will be site-based during extensive product training to provide thorough knowledge of products through manufacturing and systems testing. Responsibilities include in-house and on-site calibration, diagnosis, repair, and addressing any application software issues.
We are seeking an Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience from an engineering Service Engineering background (not IT Support) who is eager to broaden their product knowledge and skills. Ideally, candidates will have an engineering qualification in electronic engineering or electrical engineering, along with knowledge of National Instruments systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Electronic engineering qualification
Factory and field-based servicing / Test Engineering (5 years experience)
Repair and calibration activities
Fault finding and diagnosing complex systems to component level
Electro-mechanical
Electronics
PCB repair beneficial
Experience with instrumentation control systems such as LXI, GPIB, LabVIEW / TestStand / PLC Programming (beneficial)
Full UK Driving Licence and own transport
Able to travel at short notice in the UK and Europe
Security check will be required
