As one of our Service Engineers, you’ll be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on clients’ automation systems in Gloucestershire and surrounding counties. This is an exciting role within our electrical and mechanical team, where you’ll have the chance to work independently as well as alongside other engineers. Key Responsibilities:

Perform planned maintenance and repairs on automated gates, barriers, bollards, and garage doors.

Carry out fault finding and reactive maintenance on the above systems.

Install and troubleshoot intercom systems.

Perform any other duties that the company deems the Service Engineer competent to carry out.

General Responsibilities:

Attend both in-house and manufacturer training sessions.

Complete all necessary paperwork electronically.

Adhere to all Health and Safety guidelines to ensure personal and team safety.

Effectively manage time on jobs to ensure maximum efficiency.

Communicate job progression with Operations team.

Share best practices and knowledge with other team members.

Promote a positive company image at all times.

Report to Line Manager.

Personal Requirements:

At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, or 1 year in a role comprising of electrical or mechanical maintenance. Interests or hobbies within electrical or mechanical activities will also be considered with evidence.

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Logical problem-solving skills.

Technical aptitude.

Enthusiastic, adaptable, and ready for a challenge.

Able to plan and work independently.

Competent communicator, willing to liaise with staff and clients.

Respects others and has a positive attitude toward diversity.

Willingness to learn and build on existing skills.

Basic welding skills preferred but not essential.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position, consisting of 40 hours per week including a 30-minute lunch break.

The working hours are primarily Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 16:30. The successful candidate may be required to work beyond these hours if the job demands it.

The role is primarily based in the field, with occasional work required at the company’s office or other locations as needed.
