What the role involves

  • Attend site to diagnose.
  • Carry out mechanical and electrical fault finding and maintenance.
  • Investigate issues such as oil leaks, electrical faults and component failures.
  • Supporting testing activities (IR, HV withstand, functional checks).
  • Repair components including relays, gaskets, cooling systems and accessories.
  • Work independently on customer sites when required.

Skills and requirements

  • Background in electrical site engineering, HV systems, transformers, substation maintenance or similar field-based engineering work.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
  • Experience working in site-based engineering environments.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential).
