The Organisation: A responsible and progressive charity, aiming to provide social justice and support to vulnerable groups of people across the UK; victims of domestic violence, ex-offenders, young people, people with mental health difficulties and those struggling with substance misuse. They are a well-established organisation with a positive market reputation and over 20 years of experience in supported living. This company is currently operating supported housing services for rehabilitating ex-offenders that have left a prison setting. The service ensures the instilling of independent living skills, positive wellbeing and personal development within ex-offenders, working towards their bettering of life and prevention of repeat offending.

The Opportunities: Service Lead will be working full-time hours; 40 working hrs, 35 hrs paid, 5 hrs unpaid lunch, 9-5pm (on call duty manager rota, expected on call 1 week every 4-6 weeks) Competitive pay rates; Service Lead - £30.35ph (umbrella) Contract length will be 6-months, before consideration for extension and/or permanence. You will be based remotely, but will cover Lewisham, South East London. Mileage contribution will be paid from the nearest office to the first property, at £0.45 per mile. The Responsibilities: On site management of 5 bed supported housing scheme for care leavers age 16-17yrs plus 8 bed scheme for care leavers 18+ in Lewisham. Must have excellent understanding of children and adults safeguarding, provision of housing related support to young persons with additional needs, line management of staff within relevant context.

The Requirements: Experience in a senior/lead capacity within a relevant industry, such as social care, social housing or local authority work. Proven working knowledge and experience of social housing management, including the processes involved in welfare & benefits and tenancy management. The Desirables: 5 years of experience in social housing or social care. Housing membership or relevant qualifications, including CIH (Chartered Institution of Housing) or BA in Housing Management. Understanding of relevant legal framework and eviction/notice processes. Enhanced DBS Adults/Children Barred (on update service) Driving Licence (own car) but not essential as travel can be by public transport links around London.
