Service Manager

to oversee its

Child Protection Advisors (CPAs) . This critical role ensures that children at risk receive the highest level of care and protection through effective leadership, robust oversight, and strategic planning. About the Role

As the Service Manager for Child Protection Advisors, you will: Lead and Support CPAs : Provide direction and leadership to the CPA team, ensuring consistent and effective oversight of child protection processes. Enhance Safeguarding Practices : Ensure all child protection conferences are of the highest standard, promoting positive outcomes for children and families. Strategic Oversight : Drive quality assurance processes, ensuring compliance with statutory frameworks and council policies. Champion Best Practice : Lead on the implementation of innovative practices, including the Signs of Safety framework, to improve outcomes for children. Collaborate Effectively : Work closely with multi-agency partners to ensure a coordinated and effective response to safeguarding concerns. Promote Learning and Development : Foster a culture of continuous improvement through reflective practice, mentoring, and professional development for your team. About You

We are looking for an experienced leader who has: Professional Expertise : A social work qualification, registration with Social Work England, and significant post-qualified experience in statutory safeguarding roles. Specialised Knowledge : A strong understanding of child protection processes, including the role of CPAs, statutory requirements, and risk management. Leadership Experience : Proven success in leading and managing teams within a safeguarding context, driving improvements, and ensuring high standards of practice. Commitment to Excellence : Expertise in quality assurance and performance management, with a focus on delivering the best outcomes for children and families. Collaborative Approach : Experience working with multi-agency partners to achieve cohesive safeguarding responses.
