We are changing our operational management structure within the Medical Division which now means we have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual wanting to pursue a career within in our management tier at Salisbury Foundation Trust.

The post requires vision, innovation, and the ability to work with clinical teams and across professional boundaries, underpinned by a real desire to provide the highest standards of care. The post holder will provide comprehensive operational, change management and strategic support to the Division and will be key in supporting the delivery of the Trust's Strategic objectives.

Main duties of the job

You will be a key member of the Senior Management Team and will provide strong, visible leadership. You will have a range of responsibilities supporting the clinical and wider management to include:

Developing services across specialties Supporting the day-to-day operational management of the service Ensuring all performance targets are achieved within budget Work with and supporting lead clinicians in the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective patient care in line with the Trust's Strategic Objectives Providing line management and managerial leadership across teams Responsible for budgets within the areas of responsibility

Experience of patient pathways (e.g., ED, RTT, DM01, Cancer Performance Standards, and waiting list management) would be beneficial. You will work with the clinical teams to develop and streamline processes to ensure key performance indicators are met, as well as excellent customer service to our patients. You will have previous management experience, ideally within a healthcare setting.

We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills who is positive with a can-do attitude. You will be solution-focused and have the ability to effect change.

On joining the Trust, we will support you through an intensive 4-week training programme that covers everything we think you will need to know so you can hit the ground running.

As part of the Senior Management Team, there will be a requirement to participate in an on-call duty manager rota.

Education, Qualifications, and Training

Essential

5 GCSEs or O Levels, including: Maths & English NVQ 5 in Management or Administration or equivalent Degree in Healthcare Management or equivalent Evidence of continued professional development (CPD)

Desirable

Management qualification Use of Lorenzo, CRIS, Power BI

Experience

Essential

At least 2 years of experience in service and operational management/leadership at a senior level Strategic planning, business planning, project leading, service development implementation. Dealing with staff problems and patient complaints etc. at a senior level. Experience of coordinating & chairing meetings Experience of delivering training for staff from a range of professions. Experience in developing Business Cases Experience of performance management Experience of workforce planning and development

Desirable

Project management experience Experience of working with/within clinical specialties
