Main duties of the job

Assist the Head of Operations in meeting the Trust's strategic and operational agenda. Oversee day-to-day service management issues, liaising with departments and multi-disciplinary teams as required. To deputise for the Head of Operations as required. The role requires an individual with a relevant professional qualification and experience in the management of people and services. Promote the service and manage partnership relations with stakeholders working with other Service and Operational Managers. Plan and oversee the implementation of the service improvement and delivery of service performance across all domains. Ensure compliance with clinical and operational standards and contractual requirements ensuring regular reporting to all relevant stakeholder groups. About us

Qualifications

University Degree or Equivalent experience Evidence of continuing development Experience

Staff management, including sickness absence, appraisals and performance NHS experience Financial and activity management Close working with senior managers and/or clinicians Skills

Excellent communication and presentation skills Excellent verbal/written and interpersonal skills Practical and creative approach to problem solving Ability to resolve conflicts Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team Ability to meet deadlines and manage varied workload Understand and practice confidentiality, tact and diplomacy Ability to communicate with and get on with a wide range of people from all disciplines Knowledge

IT including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Performance and Change Management Current NHS issues Budget setting PAS or similar patient access system Other requirements
